El presente plan de estudios está en proceso de extinción a partir del curso académico 2019-20. Recuerde que, con carácter general, la matrícula para realizar exámenes se efectuará de las asignaturas en las que se hubiera estado matriculado en años anteriores. No obstante, el Rector o la Rectora podrá, mediante resolución, conceder el derecho a matricularse para examen en asignaturas no matriculadas con anterioridad. El Servicio de Gestión Académica de Alumnos, la emitirá por delegación.

Structure of the Grade in Chemistry

  • Basic Module: 60 ECTS credits.
  • Fundamental Module: 126 ECTS credits.
  • Extension Module: 24 ECTS credits.
  • Project Module and End of Grade Dissertation: 18 ECTS credits.
  • Optional Module, (to be chosen amoun 36 credits): 12 ECTS credits.

Calendar for the Modules:

  • The Basic Module is completed in the 1st year of the Grade.
  • The subjects of the Fundamental Module cover the rest of years depending on their complexity and the need for previous knowledge from other subjects.
  • The Extension Module is offered in the third and fourth years.
  • The optional subjects are offered in the fourth year.
  • The Project Module and End of Grade Dissertation are at the end of the Grade during that year the subject called Writing and Undertaking Projects is in the first term, and in order to defend the End of Grade Dissertation, students must have completed the Basic, the Fundamental and the Extension Modules, the 12 operative credits and the subject called Writing and Undertaking Projects.


The Grade degree in Chemistry has no type of Speciality, Itinerary or Mention already established.


Prerequisites and Corequisites

The Syllabus may include special conditions required for registration or for studying one or more of its subjects. These conditions are the PREREQUISITES: Subject or group of subjects, called "key" subjects, which must have been studied or passed before.


This link shows the equivalencies between subjects of former syllabi in order to facilitate adaptation of students to the new grade. Application for adaptation of students from the degree mentioned will lead to automatic recognition of all the credits contained in this chart:

Adaptation Procedure

Students from the current 5-year degree in Chemistry (Syllabus year 2000) may choose among the following options:

  • To finish the studies in the 5-year degree in Chemistry (Syllabus year 2000), which will progressively disappear, according to the regulation established by the University of Almeria.
  • Adapt to the new official degree called Grade in Chemistry. For this purpose, a charter of required adaptations will be established.
  • The calendar for termination of the above studies will be implemented gradually. Once each year is terminated, there will be four exam sittings in the following two academic years.

Calendar of extinction

The degree called Grade in Chemistry (Syllabus year 2009) will substitute the current 5-year Degree in Chemistry (Syllabus year 2000), and its deployment will be progressive, according to the following calendar:
