Structure of the Degree
The Grade in Public Management and Administration (PMA) is comprised of 240 ECTS, structured in 12 Modules as follows: The two first Modules offer basic training in PMA (60 ECTS) Two modules are focused on the knowledge of public Administrations and regional agencies (30 ECTS); Three modules address the specific knowledge of legal, economic and human resource (60 ECTS) and the other three focus on management instruments and techniques (60 ECTS). Finally, the last two modules are optional training (6 ECTS), intense practical training (18 ECTS), and end of grade dissertation (6 ECTS)
The Syllabus is divided into 12 modules, all of which are compulsory except module 11:
- Module 1. Basic training Public Management and Administration (36 ECTS), comprising the following subject-matters: “Foundations of Law”, “Political Economy”, “ Introduction to Political Science”, “Sociology”, “Introduction to Statistics” and “Introduction to Accounting".
- Module 2. Other basic training for Public Management and Administration (24 ECTS), comprising the subject - matters of: “Constitutional Law”, “Applied computer science”, “Administrative Law” and “Organizations theory".
- Module 3. Public Administrations (12 ECTS) with the subject - matters of: “Administrative Structures” and “Public Sector Economy".
- Module 4. Management instruments (24 ECTS) comprising 4 Subject - matters: “Management of accounting information”, "Public Management Methods and Techniques", “Social Research techniques” and “Electronic Administration".
- Module 5. Legal - Administrative Management (18 ECTS) with 3 Subject - matters: “Administrative documenting and information”, “Legal - Administrative Management I” and “Legal - Administrative Management II".
- Module 6. Economic-Financial Management (30 ECTS) with these 5 Subject - matters: “Financial Management”, “Budget Management”, “Tax Law”, “Public Accounting” and “State tax system".
- Module 7. Human Resources Management (12 ECTS) comprising the subject - matters of “Public employment frames” and “Human Resources Management”.
- Module 8. Instrumental techniques for public management (18 ECTS) with the subject - matters of “Management of European Policies”, “Electronic Administration” and “Analysis and Evaluation of Public Policy".
- Module 9. Supplementary techniques for public management (18 ECTS) with the following subject - matters: “Trade and Social Security Law”, “Private Law applied to Public Management” and “Public management control".
- Module 10. Public Organizations Law (18 ECTS) with 3 Subject - matters: “Public International and EU Law”, “Autonomic Law” and “Local Law”.
- Module 11. (6 ECTS) with two optional subject - matters: “Gender equality” and “Ethics and Professional Liability".
- Module 12. External Internships and End of grade dissertation (24 ECTS). In order to study this Module and undertake the External Internship and End of grade dissertation, students must have completed 75% of the Credits of the first four modules (Basic training, Public Administrations and Management instruments).

Subjects
Prerrequisitos y Correquisitos
The Syllabus may include special conditions required for registration or for studying one or more of its subjects. These conditions are the PREREQUISITES: Subject or group of subjects, called "key" which must have been studied or passed before.
The "Grade in Public Management and Administration" degree, has no established prerequisite.

Adaptation

Adaptation Procedure
Students From the former degree in Public Management and Administration may choose one of the following options:
- To finish the studies in the former degree in Public Management and Administration, which will progressively disappear, according to the regulation established by the University of Almeria.
- Adapt to the new official Grade degree in Public Management and Administration. For this purpose, a charter of required adaptations will be established.
- The calendar for termination of the above studies will be implemented gradually. Once each year is terminated, there will be four exam sittings in the following two academic years.

The degree called Grade in Public Management and Administration will substitute the former Degree in Public Management and Administration, and its deployment will be progressive, following this calendar:
