Structure of the Degree

Students must complete 60 credits. It includes 21 introductory compulsory credits about Theory of communication, Discourse and Society, Present History, or New Technologies. Then you can choose between two modules of 27 credits each: Communication in socioproffesional and Key contexts for research in Social communication. Finally, students may choose between developing a work internship, on one hand; and, on the other, starting a research which will serve them as a guide for their doctoral thesis.

After the compulsory credits (21 credits, distributed in 7 subjects), students select itinerary A o itinerary B (27 credits in either case, distributed in 9 subjects).

They finally conclude with 12 credits from two possibilities related to working experience or a research work related to a future thesis.

Specialities / Itineraries

The degrees have been configured so, once completed, students may obtain a specialization. These specializations can be called by different names, although the most common ones are "Speciality", "Curricular Itinerary" or "Mention".

The "Master in Social Communication" degree has the following Itineraries:

  • Itinerary 1: Communication in social-professional contexts (Professional Option)
  • Itinerary 2: Keys for Research in Social Communication (Research Option)

Prerequisites and Corequisites

The Syllabus may include special conditions required for registration or for studying one or more of its subjects. These conditions are the PREREQUISITES: Subject or group of subjects, called "key" subjects, which must have been studied or passed before.

The "Master in Social Communication" degree, has no established prerequisit.
