Support to Associations and Participation

The University of Almeria will encourage associations, participation, comradeship and solidarity among students as an expression of their comprehensive training and the contribution of university members to generating attitudes of freedom, investigation and democracy. (Statutes of the University of Almeria, art. 128).

The University of Almeria, conscious of the importance of associations as instruments for social integration and participation in public affairs (Organic Law 1/2002, of 22 March, of the Right to Associations), intends to guarantee the freedom of associations and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms that may be affected by their existence (Statutes of the University of Almeria, art. 87.1.b. Organic Law of Universities, art. 46.2.G.), by offering support to university youth associations, in order to contribute to the development of the associations fabric, with the following aims:

• Promote the creation of Student Youth Associations at the University of Almeria, offering advice on legal aspects, procedures, constitution and functioning.
• Encouraging the consolidation of the already existing associations at the University of Almeria.
• Mobilizing and promoting associations among university students.
• Creating youth participation areas.
• Offering the necessary resources for the development and functioning of the associations registered at the University of Almeria.
